Apiway Mail has a one-line “Sent via Apiway” footer at the bottom of your emails, and the Apiway responder is staged for a controlled rollout: once enabled, it will send a single note to somebody writing to you for the very first time. Both settings live in the same place; on a free plan they are on, and a paid plan gives you the switch.
Availability: the footer is live. The responder and the CC-to-Room bot are not enabled in production yet; Apiway will turn them on only after mail routing and sending safeguards have been verified.
Where the settings are
Open Apiway Mail, click the settings icon, and pick Sent via Apiway footer or Apiway responder in the list on the left. Each one is an On / Off pair of buttons. The footer takes effect on your next email; the responder choice is saved now and will control it after the staged rollout begins.
The “Sent via Apiway” footer
Every email you send through Apiway carries one small line at the bottom. You choose where it points: On links to Apiway, Use affiliate turns the same line into your own referral link, and Off removes it. Off and the affiliate variant need a paid plan.
How the Apiway responder will work
After the responder is enabled, when somebody emails you for the first time ever, Apiway will reply once, from your own address, to say that you use the Apiway Workspace AI Bot — and give them a link to the Room for that conversation, where the files and messages from it are collected.
- Each person receives it once, ever. Replies to an existing conversation never trigger it.
- It goes only to mail Gmail itself sorts as Main or Requests. Newsletters, promotions, social and forum mail, no-reply addresses and auto-replies are skipped.
- The recipient gets their own link to stop receiving it.
Turning the responder off
On a paid plan, set it to Off in Mail settings before or after rollout and no responder notes will be sent. On a free plan the note will be on once rollout starts — upgrading is what turns the switch on. The only other way to stop it is disconnecting the mailbox, which also turns off Apiway Mail itself.
