On New presentation, press one of the 13 type tiles under “Or start from a type”. The brief opens with the kind already answered, so it starts at Content.
Steps
- Open PresentationsOpen Presentations in Apiway. The first screen is New presentation. — open in Apiway
- Press a type tileUnder Or start from a type press a tile: Sales deck, Commercial proposal, Case study, Results report, Internal presentation, Public speaking or webinar, Brief for contractors, Portfolio, Résumé, Startup pitch deck, Media kit, Price list, Research. The last tile, My own type, opens the brief with no type; you then write the kind yourself.
- ContentOn Add the content for your presentation drop files, paste links or write a few words. The Kind screen is not shown: the tile answered it.
- PurposeOn For marketing, or a serious document? choose For marketing or A serious document.
- DesignOn Where do we take the design from? choose From a template, From a reference or From your brand. A template is the default.
- Template or ReferenceWith a template, pick one on Choose a template. With a reference, give a file or a link on Show us the design you like and press Take its look; only its look is used. With your brand this screen is skipped.
- AnimationOn With motion, or static? choose With motion or Static.
- Your wordsWrite what to stress and what to leave out. You can attach files and pictures with Add files or pictures. Press Skip to leave it empty.
- Who buildsOn How will you build the presentation? pick one agent: External agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, DeepSeek Harness), External chats (ChatGPT Work, Claude) or Apiway AI Agent. Press Next.
- TaskThe screen shows Task for the agent. Press Copy task and paste it into your agent, or press the button that opens the agent. The agent builds the slides and Apiway shows each step.
- PublishPress Open the presentation's page, look at the preview and press Publish. You get one link; anyone with the link opens the presentation.

If it did not work
- The type you need is not among the tiles: Press My own type and write the kind in your own words on Kind.
- You picked the wrong tile: Go back to New presentation and press another tile. The brief you left stays in My presentations.
Questions and answers
Does a type limit the number of slides?
No. A type sets the usual order of slides. The brief reads up to 300 slides of an uploaded file.
Can I change the type later?
A brief started from a tile has no Kind screen. Start again from another tile, or tell the agent the kind in Your words.
