Segment

Hi everyone I'm working on creating a workflow and am getting a little confused. I'm trying to have a welcome e-mail sent that asks the user what type of content they'd like. When they click on the button, it would then segment them into a list. I was able to add one segment but then can't figure out how to create the rest of the workflow unless I make it dependent upon the first button (which maybe that's the right way to do it?). Or is there a better way to do this?
