Automating 'best of' emails

I'd like to be able to add some of my most popular emails to an automation, so people who joined even weeks after I sent the campaign will get it. Any suggestions of a way to do this so people who already got it from a campaign don't get it? I have multiple welcome series automations, depending on what they wanted when they joined, but at some point they all get my regular emails. Thanks for your ideas!
